Marilyn Umatta is a Bachelor’s Degree holder in International Tourism and Human Resources Management from Middlesex University in the UK. After her Bachelor’s degree, she kicked off her career working as an HR Officer at Deloitte UK before moving to Sierra Leone and joining Craft HR as an HR Consultant, soon after joining Craft HR, she was promoted to the rold of Senior HR Consultant. As a consultant during Ebola Response, she coordinated staff recruitment, setting up HR systems, policies, procedures, an their implementations for clients.
Over the past 5 years she has worked and continues to work at senior management level with clients such as Sweet Salone Investment Management company, CAIPA/International Procurement Agency (IPA), Aspen Medical and The Place Resort providing services ranging from staff recruitment and management to training and implementing HR systems. She is presently consulting in the role of Corporate Services and Administrative Manager at the The Place Resort where she is leading the organisation’s HR programs and policies as they apply to employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety, performance and staffing levels as well as providing high level administrative, strategic planning and operational support and advice on administrative matters.
